Calling All McCain-Palin Supporters

Published by sjp08 under Uncategorized Edit This

The polls tell us that the 44th President of the United States will be Senator Barack Obama. Yet, Senator McCain and his surrogates continue to tell us that this race is not over and that he and not Obama will come out the victor on November 4th. While, it is certainly my hope and prayer that the polls, and not the surrogates, are correct I know that if anything can happen – anything will.

So, with that, I am calling on all McCain supporters who might stumble upon this post to reassure me that a McCain Presidency will not be more of the same.  I invite you to tell me WHY I should have cast my vote for Senator McCain rather than Senator Obama. Specifically, if you would be so kind to answer the following question – WITH NO CONTRAST BETWEEN THE MCCAIN-OBAMA PLAN – I would be very much obliged.

1/ Why must we win the war in Iraq? We lost in Viet Nam and remained a super power. How is pulling out of Iran any different?

2/ Health care is an extremely important issue for many Americans, including me.  I currently have excellent health care benefits through my employer for which I pay a monthly before tax premium. Under the McCain plan, what assurances do I have that my employer will continue to provide this benefit?

3/ Every small and large business in America relies on the consumer to keep their doors open. If the consumer has no money to purchase their wares or services how is giving these entities tax cuts helping the consumer or middle-class?  Since it is the middle-class that creates the demand, why would the tax cut they receive be smaller than that of big business?

4/ If, God forbid, that John McCain were unable to complete his term as President, what assurances do I have that Gov. Palin is ready to serve in this capacity and keep America safe should she be tested as all Presidents have been?

The above are not “tongue and cheek” questions.  They are in fact real concerns for me as we near the end of this election. Considering that John McCain could very well be the next President of the United States, it is very important to me that his plans for not more of the same but a new and better direction for the United States.

Much Obliged, SjP
